The London Olympics are on full affect and now there is controversy to add to the biggest sports event.

Eight badminton players from Indonesia, South Korea and China have been disqualified from the Olympics for losing their matches on purpose to get better standings in the tournament. And this was so clear during the matches when it  became obvious the players were trying to throw the game because they kept hitting their birdies into the net.

The Australians who were eliminated have since been reinstated into the brackets.

Fans were upset at the poor sportsmanship and demanded a refund but Olympics officials have announced they do not plan on refunding their tickets which cost over $100 each.

Some of the players have started their own protest against the decision to disqualify them from the games but more than likely it'll end up on deaf ears.
