With Season 12 of American Idol around the corner, there has been a lot of speculation as to what stars will replace Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez. Mariah Carey was the first to be signed on an $18 million deal for every year she judges. Randy Jackson is among the other judges possibly leaving the panel. His decision is undecided however should he leave they have a few other candidates in mind. Kanye West is said to be among candidates for replacement, however West has stated he isn’t sure if American Idol is this thing. If he does take the deal he expects to the same compensation as Mariah Carey.

Anonymous reports state Nicki Minaj is up for consideration; however the talk of her consideration has upset Carey as she was told she would be the only female on the judges panel. Other candidates include Enrique Iglesias, Brad Paisley, and Keith Urban. No other final decisions have been made however.
