The plans to house the largest ferris wheel in the world is going to happen as Mayor Bloomberg is set to make an announcement confirming the construction of the 625 foot New York Wheel that'll be placed on the Staten Island waterfront. This is how it will pretty much look:

The new Staten Island ferris wheel will be bigger then the Singapore Flyer, which stands at 541 feet tall, the largest in the world.

The wheel will cost about $230 million to make and plans to boost up revenue for the city. There are other projects in the works to completely renovate the waterfront with new restaurants, malls and shopping areas as well.
