The second installment of Black Fist Fridays featured the legendary ?uestlove.  His set was amazing as we expected and our listeners really got a chance to enjoy some classic hip hop.  Speaking of classic hip hop, Mister Cee and ?uestlove sat down to discuss the old days and the most common theme of the interview was old school in comparriosn to new school.  Quest talked about how he and Black Thought met in performing arts school and how he and other emcees of their time were fortuante enough to come up in an era where music education was an integral part of their curriculum.  Quest tells us that he his Roots bandmates are extremely confortable, having carved out their niche as the biggest hip hop band of all time.  therefore, they have set it up so they can maintain that raw sound that dominated in the late 80s early 90s.  I'd say this sounds like the opening of hip hop history class.  Enjoy.
