Machine Gun Kelly On Drake and Chris Brown Club Brawl: "Thank You For Fighting." [VIDEO[

6/20/2012

The wildest boy in hip hop, MGK, came through to sit down yet again with Cipha Sounds, Rosenberg and K. Foxx to hash out a few things.  First topic of duscussion was his interview with us a few months back that gained him some more fans then he chimes in on the Drake and Chris Brown beef.

On feedback after first interview with HOT 97:

Strangely enough that was the interview where a lot of people that didn’t like me, started to like me.  A lot of radio stations disliked me so I went to another radio station and I had an interview and they was like “After I saw the interview on HOT 97, that was where I started to like you.”   Because a lot of people expected me to spaz.  That’s actually the usual MGK reaction to everything is to spaz.  I spazzed so hard before I came here.  Cuz I hopped out the car in Midtown and went back to my hotel.

On NYPD shutting down MGK performance at the Highline Ballroom and brawl at Florida concert:

They only banned me from performing.  I performed there before.  No problems.  I’ve performed at like every venue in New York.  TMZ put out that claim with the bouncer in Florida saying I sliced his face open with a broken bottle.  They showed the picture and I’d have to be the dude from “SAW” to do that.  So I smashed this bottle in a friendly way on the ground.  I picked the broken glass shard up and I started slicing an ‘x’.  This point started bleeding like crazy.  I was like “I’m just gonna take it one extra level” and I just sliced, sliced, sliced.  I didn’t realize what I was doing.  But then at the end it was gushing.  What was crazy was it was so many people on there.  All the cameras were on them and I was like “No, look!  Look at me!  Look what I just did for you guys!”  They totally missed it.  Went to the hotel.  Couldn’t have sex because it hurt so bad.  I wanted everybody to be like “Yo.  This kid stepped it up.”

On Drake and Chris Brown brawl:

Yo that’s the coolest thing that happened in hip-hop for a long time.  Thank you for fighting.  No one ever does that anymore.  Even when me and Yelawolf, that whole situation happened, that was like the first time a label really got in my ear.  I had so many people in my ear telling me what to say.  The normal sarcastic MGK that everyone knows would’ve went on air and just talked shit.  But it never happened.  I watched that video and was like “Yo I will never listen to anyone else again.”  That’s not me.  I was in an interview in California and I seen Yelawolf walk by and I ran out to catch him.  We talked it out.  You know, and it went smoothly.  Automatically I his head, there’s a whole new respect.   I had nobody with me cuz I ran out of the interview.
