HOT 97 is known around the world for our keen sense of hip hop trends including but not limited to music, style, vernacular, fashion, beef, rivalries, concerts, music releases and more.  We have solidified our role in both the hip hop and radio worlds as the front-runner in the rap game.  Artists and listeners alike seek HOT 97 on the dial whether for a co-sign or guidance on quality and notable emcees.  While we have dominated for some time in our market, we felt it was time to up the ante. 

After toiling over the perfect way to further engage our already highly interactive audience, we decided we would give our fans HOT 97 TV.  This platform will serve as the visual component  for the hip hop culture in which over 3 million listeners are submerged in every day via 97.1 FM on the dial in the tr-state area.  We do everything big.  So it should come as no surprise that we launched this platform alongside the official viewing party for the first ever HOT 97 original series “Los Blancos”.

“Los Blancos” boasts a star-studded hip hop cast including Maino, Rosa Acosta, Shakur Sozahdah and more.  It tells the story of two sisters who dared to assume the boss positions in their father’s business.  Its a male dominated arena and as two beautiful Latinas just embarking on dangerous journey, they have everything to lose and everything to prove.  

The cast of “Los Blancos” was in attendance at the private viewing party last night and many more came out to celebrate the launch.  DJ Bobby Trends, DJ Spynfo, DJ Wallah and more provided music for the night.   Everyone in attendance was privy to experience “Los Blancos” before it’s official premiere and now it’s your turn.
