When Lupe Fiasco's “Around My Way (Freedom Ain’t Free),” single dropped earlier this year, it seemed as though he had successfully managed to sample one of hip-hops greatest songs, T.R.O.Y., seamlessly.  It wasn't until Pete Rock took to Twitter to express his sentiment of the sampling of the track.  As you can imagine, the song holds some sentimental value for Pete Rock.  The only question was, why did Pete Rock give Lupe his blessing and then recant his approval?  Here, Lupe explains the sitation.
