INTERN WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN ABOUT AND GET INVOLVED IN:

GENERAL OFFICE DUTIES, WORKING ONE-ON-ONE WITH LISTENERS AND CONTEST WINNERS, HANDS ON EXPERIENCE OF WRITING COPY, WRITING PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS, UPDATING OF PRESS LISTS, PARTICIPATION IN PLANNING AND EXECUTION OF ON-SITE EVENTS, WEB SITE DEVELOPMENT, GRAPHIC DESIGN, VIDEO SHOOTIMG, EDITING AND LEARNING THE DAY TO DAY OPERATIONS OF THE RADIO BUSINESS.

WE OFFER A FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE AND AN OPPORTUNITY TO EARN COLLEGE CREDIT WHILE LEARNING ALL ASPECTS OF THE RADIO INDUSTRY. INTERNSHIPS ARE FOR COLLEGE CREDIT ONLY.

The Internship Program Guidelines are as follows:

• Students must be enrolled in undergraduate or graduate school. Undergraduate Junior and Senior year students are preferred. Qualified Sophomores can be considered.

• Students must be eligible to earn credit through the college/university they are currently attending by submitting a letter of credit eligibility from their Academic Advisor indicating how many credits they will earn.

• As internship positions vary at HOT 97, students should be aware that positions require between 25 and 40 hours per week.

 VIDEO PRODUCTION INTERNS:

We want to invite hard-working, self-sufficient, creative, inventive, and excited students to apply for an internship in our Video Production Department.

Potential interns must and will assist the production team in all aspects of production from typing up liners and capturing content to filming live concert events and editing artist interviews. Applicants must possess a love and strong knowledge of music and it’s culture.

We are looking for interns for all semesters and because there is always content to be captured, we are looking for applicants for both daytime and evening hours.

This is an extremely fast-growing team, so we are only looking for the most innovative interns that can contribute great ideas and can move and act quickly while keeping their work at the highest quality.

Main Duties include:
• Logging & Capturing content
• Assisting in the production of shoots in-studio and on location of original content
• Filming and editing artist interviews and live concert events
• General office maintenance

Requirements:
• Proficient in Final Cut Pro 7
• Adobe CS4 Photoshop and After Effects
• Experience working with HD camera equipment (Specifically Sony EX-1 and Canon EOS 7D or 5D Mark II)
• Experience lighting for interviews and events
• Microsoft Excel and Word
