Fluent in English, Spanish and even sign language, Monse is quietly making his mark in the radio world becoming a name not to be forgotten.
Born in Puerto Rico and raised in the Bronx, Monse began his career as an assistant to “The Voice of NY” Angie Martinez and has made his way to the Hottest on air talent line up in Hip-hop radio. Monse serves as president of his own “Tabaqueros” Entertainment Company where his radio experience proves invaluable. Monse was instrumental in the creation of the bilingual hip-hop group “The Dey” who were signed to Sony Epic Records and managed by Violator.
Monse’s Sunday Night Showcase has become the tri-state’s premier stage for aspiring talent, providing a platform for local talent to introduce their music to an audience of hip-hop’s elite. Past judges have included the legendary Doug E. Fresh, Funkmaster Flex, Joell Ortiz, DJ Green Lantern, Grammy-nominated producer Scram Jones, DJ Kay Slay, Lil’ Cease and A&Rs from major record labels.
