The revolution will not be televised…well maybe if you consider a jumbotron screen in the New Meadowlands Stadium, a television.  Once a year Hot 97 brings over 50,000 of the largest Hip-Hop fans and Hip-Hop artists on the planet, to one location for one reason… Summer Jam!

Due to the amount of people HOT 97 brings into the New Meadowlands Stadium we would like to petition the government to create our own district of Hip-Hop. What is a district? The U.S Government considers a district to be a locality marked by a distinguished feature, in this case, Summer Jam!!!

HOT 97 has always been a trendsetter in hip hop music and culture, but Summer Jam becoming its own district? This year the New Meadowlands Stadium will host Summer Jam, Hip-Hop's 1st Official District!!!

HOT 97’s Summer Jam District 97 - the world's annual official gathering of the Hip-Hop Culture. Where Rappers, Artists, Dancers, and DJs gather to celebrate the music culture that changed the world!  How will we become a district?  On Sunday, June 5th in East Rutherford, NJ we will petition the government to recognize East Rutherford, New Jersey and the New Meadowlands Stadium as District 97, every year for the biggest hip hop concert in the world!  Become a District 97 Ambassador.
