Fatal Elementary School Shooting in Connecticut Leaves 30 People Dead
A Connecticut school shooting leaves 30 people dead, including 18 children. At 9:35 a.m. two gunmen opened fire at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. One suspect has been reported dead and the other is still at large.
Ryan Lanza, now identified as the suspected shooter, is said to have had connection to the school. Allegedly, the suspect shot his father this morning, before heading to Newton to shoot his mother, a kindergarten teacher in the school. Sources are saying that most of the fatalities occurred in the kindergarten classroom.
President Obama is expected to speak on the tragedy at 3:15.
