HOT 97 Internship Program offers students real business exposure within various departments. To become a HOT 97 intern, review your academic status with your professor/advisor and mail your resume along with the required letter of credit for further consideration. Your resume will be reviewed and if a suitable position is available you will be contacted by Human Resources for an interview.

EMMIS COMMUNICATIONS NEW YORK OFFICE IS CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR YOU!
WE ARE SEEKING HARD-WORKING, HIGHLY MOTIVATED STUDENTS FOR INTERNSHIPS IN THE PROMOTIONS, VIDEO OR DIGITAL (WEB) DEPARTMENTS OF ONE OF OUR LOCAL RADIO STATIONS. *Please indicate your department of interest on your cover letter.
INTERN WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN ABOUT AND GET INVOLVED IN:
GENERAL OFFICE DUTIES, WORKING ONE-ON-ONE WITH LISTENERS AND CONTEST WINNERS, HANDS ON EXPERIENCE OF WRITING COPY, WRITING PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS, UPDATING OF PRESS LISTS, PARTICIPATION IN PLANNING AND EXECUTION OF ON-SITE EVENTS, WEB SITE DEVELOPMENT, GRAPHIC DESIGN, VIDEO SHOOTING, EDITING, AND LEARNING THE DAY TO DAY OPERATIONS OF THE RADIO BUSINESS.
WE OFFER A FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE AND AN OPPORTUNITY TO EARN COLLEGE CREDIT WHILE LEARNING ALL ASPECTS OF THE RADIO INDUSTRY. INTERNSHIPS ARE FOR COLLEGE CREDIT ONLY.
ONLY THE SERIOUS AND CAREER-MINDED NEED APPLY.
The Internship Program Guidelines are as follows:
Students must be enrolled in undergraduate or graduate school. Undergraduate Junior and Senior year students are preferred. Qualified Sophomores can be considered.
Students must be eligible to earn credit through the college/university they are currently attending by submitting a letter of credit eligibility from their Academic Advisor indicating how many credits they will earn.
As internship positions vary at HOT 97, students should be aware that positions require between 25 and 40 hours per week.

We’re looking for candidates interested in working part-time, in the HOT 97 Promotion Department. Candidates should be outgoing, energetic, responsible and hard working.
Ideal Candidate: College student majoring in Communications or related field.
Position Available: Part-Time Promotions Assistant / Street Team Position
Job Description: Assist with Station Special Events and Sales Appearances (Retail and Community
Events, Concerts, Parties). Assist with the day-to-day operation of the promotion department, including distribution of prize packages for on-air contest, clerical work and help with the execution of community service programs.
Responsibilities: Driving station vehicles / On-site set-up of station materials / positive interaction with listeners and clients / follow through with clientele.
A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, flexible schedule and a positive attitude are required.
