Rick Ross Announces Omarion As Newest MMG Member + Album Dates At MMG Conference

The entire blogosphere was in one room speculating what the big annoucement was that required an old school press conference.  The last time a conference of this magnitiude was conducted, it was in the name of Rocafella Records about 20 years ago.  Ross and the entire MMG family decided to keep it traditional for the annoucement of their mixtape releases, album releases, endorsement deals and new additions.

Last year, Swizz Beats announced his deal with Reebok and now he is bringing Rick Ross on board.  Ross will be the face of the Big and Tall line which is in the works.  Swizz spoke fondly of the rapper saying that "He's a great person...its not all about him...he will be the face of the big and tall movement to express all his fashion...all his fly."

Speaking of endorsements, Ross can almost always be seen toting a Ciroc bottle in his videos and today Diddy announced that Rick Ross is now an official Ciroc Boy.  That's right, Ross was never officialy affiliated with Ciroc.  He promoted Diddy's vodka solely off the strength of their relationship.  By doing so, he more than quadroupled the company's shipments and earned himself an official endorsement with the brand.

Ross is not only making his rounds an artist, he's shaping up to be quite the business man.  Or should we say "record man" as Diddy calls it.  He's built a strong empire of rappers and r & b singers.  The group has been crushing the airwaves and blogosphere making them a force to be dealt with.  Their mixtape, Self Made Volume II is set to drop on June 26th of this year.  "We're pushing the envelope creatively." said Wale.  The comeback kid, aka Mr. "Summer Jam" also told us he's set to drop his 3rd official studio album at the top of Januray 2013.  Speaking of albums, Meek Mill annoucned his "Dreams and Nightmares" debut album will hit shelves worldwide on August 28th of this year with the lead single for the album dropping in June.  In the meantime, we can rock out to "Dream Chasers II" which is set to drop on May 7th. Meek left us with these words: "Tuck your summer in."

The MMG summer 2012 takeover wouldn't be complete without the highly anticipated "God Forgives I Don't" album from the boss himself.  Ross announced what we hope to be the final release date for the long awaited album, July 31st.   The wait might just be worth it. "Its my best body of work.  Its a dark story...its extremely lyrical and the collaborations will be surprising." says Ross.

Last and certainly not least,  MMG announced a shocking surprise.  Omarion is now the newest member of MMG.  Rick Ross announced today to an audience of head-scratching bloggers and videographers that the crooner will now be on the team. Watch the highlites from the conference above.
