We haven't heard much about Dwight Howard in recent weeks after the failed trade to the Brooklyn Nets, but it looks like things are heating up very quickly.
The Magic have agreed on a 4 team deal to trade Dwight Howard to the Los Angeles Lakers.
In the official trade, Los Angeles will also be receiving point guard Chris Duhon, and forward Earl Clark while sending Andrew Bynum to the Philadelphia 76ers who will also be receiving Jason Richardson. Meanwhile the Denver Nuggets would receive Andre Iguodala.
Arron Affalo, Al Harrington, Josh McRoberts, Nikola Vucevic, Christian Eyenga, Maurice Harkless, three protected future first-round draft choices, and two second round picks from each of the other teams would then go to the Magic.
By not including power foward Pau Gasol in the deal, the Lakers starting lineup is projected as being one of the strongest in the NBA with Steve Nash, who signed this past offseason, Kobe Bryant, Ron Artest, Pau Gasol, and Dwight Howard, with former all-star Antwan Jamison also on the team after also signing this past offseason.
Last time the Magic were involved in such serious talks, they broke down, which allowed the Brooklyn Nets to resign their center Brook Lopez and Kris Humphries.
But it's safe to say the Dwight Howard saga is now over.
Would Howard fit as a Laker? Would he have the same success as Shaquille O' Neal after he left Orlando? Comment below!
