Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive end Da’Quan Bowers was arrested at LaGuardia Airport yesterday after being caught illegally carrying a loaded handgun.

According to NBC news, Bowers was arrested at the check-in counter after a loaded .40-caliber handgun was found in his carry-on bag.

He was then booked and charged with second degree criminal possession of a weapon, and released on $10,000 bail. He has a court date on April 25 regarding the charges.

Tampa Bay is aware of the arrest and withholding any comment until further information is released.
