Megan Good Writes A Book Encouraging Women To Wait Until Marriage
Megan Good To Write Relationship Book Titled “The Wait”
Megan Good and her husband DeVon Franklin are teaming up to write a relationship book about waiting for the right person. The book, which is about practicing abstinence until marriage, is scheduled to be released in 2014.
Both Megan and DeVon speak about their decision to practice celibacy before they tied the knot. DeVon had been celibate for over ten years. “What was happening with me is that I would go and preach one thing but I was going and living another and I could not do it,” said DeVon. “I could not look at myself in the mirror. I was like, ‘No, I cannot live like this,’ so I had to stop and say, ‘You know what, until I get married, that’s off the table.
Megan was celibate for 10 months before they tied the knot, and she knew as soon as she saw DeVon, that they were going to get married. “We dated 10 months before we got married,” said Megan. “It was one of those things where I knew he was my husband nine months before he even asked me on a date.”
