North Korea Conducts Third Nuclear Test

North Korea has officially confirmed that it conducted its third nuclear test according to a Korean newspaper.

According to the newspaper the bomb was lighter in weight but more powerful in force.

With the test, North Korea is trying an American nation that has been very vocal about going ahead with its nuclear program.

According to the New York Times, the United Nations Security Council called an emergency meeting at 9 a.m. to discuss this event.

The day of the test may not be a coincidence since President Obama is scheduled to speak tonight at the State of the Union address, which will revolve around reducing nuclear weapons and the economy.

As the government continues to conduct nuclear tests, the people in his country are experiencing food shortages due to some of the United Nations’ sanctions.
