Today Marks The Twentieth Anniversary Of The World Trade Center Bombing

Twenty years ago today the World Trade Center was attacked by terrorists. February 26th 1993 at 12:18pm, the New York City World Trade Center was bombed by a truck bomb. Six people were killed and many were injured. They evacuated 50,000 plus people, which took all of 11 hours. An attack which made around $500 million in structural damage was returned like new not only a month later. A 1,500 pound Urea-nitrate bomb was found in the van parked in the basement parking garage.

Today in memory of our fallen neighbors, Americans everywhere practiced a moment of silence at 12:18pm. We remember our fellow citizens and their families, rest in peace.
