Jay-Z’s Mom Reveals What Makes Her Son's Heart "Melt" When It Comes To Blue Ivy

Jay-Z’s mother, Gloria Carter, is a proud grandmother to one of, if not the most famous child in the world.

Aside from that, she’s also the founder of the Shawn Carter Foundation which helps in funding unprivileged kids with scholarships.

While at a Mother’s Day event for the organization, Us Weekly was on hand and asked her about her celebrity son and how being a father has changed him.

"It warms my heart to see how he interacts with his daughter," she told Us Weekly. "And when she says, 'Papa,' he just melts. He's a great dad."

Gloria went on to say that her role as grandmother has its benefits, "The amazing thing about being a grandmother is that you go get the kids, but when you're tired, you can take them home!" she said with a laugh.

She also revealed how Blue Ivy is learning the meaning of "hello" and "bye bye," and how much of a quick learner she is,"She's very very smart, but [the TV show Babies Choice] teaches the babies that when you say hello, that means you're going to be around. But when you say, 'bye bye,' it means you're going to disappear. So when you're around her, when she looks at you and she's tired of you, she looks at you and she says, 'bye bye!'"

"So with me I'm like, 'No bye bye! No bye bye!'" she added with a laugh.

A diva in training LOL “bye bye”, it’s so cute I can’t take it lol.
