E.S.P.JEN: Long Time ESPN Anchor Stuart Scott Battling Cancer For The Third Time
Stuart Scott, who has been anchoring for ESPN for many years, has done his share of reporting whether it be from the sidelines of a game or from the desk at SportsCenter, but this is one piece of news we all would rather not hear coming from him.
In 2007 and again in 2011, doctors discovered that Scott had appendix cancer and tumors in his small intestine. The sports anchor was treated with chemotherapy for both occurrences along with an operation for the intestinal tumors. In both instances, his cancer went into remission.
But sadly, Scott released a tweet on Monday stating that that his cancer has come back for a third time, “Blessed by prayers.. I'm back in the Fight. C reared its head again. Chemo evry 2 wks but I'll still work, still work out..still #LIVESTRONG.”
Many of his fans and colleagues sent their best regards and support to Scott via Twitter, which he responded to with "Thanks for prayers..ill fight w ALL C survivors & loved ones. Cancer wants to re-appear..picked the right guy cuz I HIT HARD all day long!!"
You’re a fighter Stuart! You can get through this again! We’re all with you!
