Sunday night was the first time the Baltimore Ravens and the New England Patriots met since the Ravens took a brutal loss to the Pats last January in a missed kicked that would've taken them to the Super Bowl against the New York Giants.

The last time these two teams met the Ravens took an excruciating loss thanks to a missed 20 yard field goal attempt in the last seconds which cost them their trip to the Super Bowl. But last night, they had their chance at redemption and the Ravens redeemed themselves. With just 7:29 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter the Ravens were down 30-21 but gained confidence when they scored an incredible 92 yard touchdown. After the Pats were unable to run out the clock, they had a 70 yard drive for a game winning 27 yard TD. Ravens quarterback, Joe Flacco, was more than happy with his team, especially with receiver Torrey Smith who had 6 catches for 127 yards and two touchdowns. Smith had help on the receiving end with teammate Jacoby Jones who had 3 catches for 86 yards.

The Ravens showed that they were ready to let the Pats know that this was a new season and a new team who were not ready to take another loss to them after last year's cruel January loss.

I remember that missed kicked like it was yesterday and how heartbreaking it was for Ray Lewis and the Ravens because they really deserved to play in the Superbowl. So I'm glad to see they showed the Patrios who was boss in last night's game.
