Lupus is a serious national health issue that tends to strike young minority women, in their most productive years - often unexpectedly. Although there is no cure, it can be managed if detected early. In particular, women of color must be informedo f the facts so that if they suspect that they have symptoms of lupus, they will take appropriate action to ask for a medical evaluation by their doctor.
