New York Knicks J.R. Smith Wins Sixth Man Of The Year Award [VIDEO]

The New York Knicks had a very successful season this year with the big year from Carmelo Anthony who won the scoring championship this year, and the emergence of some role players behind them.

One of the Knicks' key players this year was J.R. Smith who was announced as the sixth man of the year this year after scoring 18.1 points per game while coming off the bench.

He beat out former Knick, Jamal Crawford who fell in second place by over 100 votes.

Smith is the third player to win the award joining John Starks who won it in the 1996-1997 season, and Anthony Mason who won it in 1994-1995.
