Brooklyn To Hire Nets Great Jason Kidd As Head Coach [PHOTO]

In a very interesting turn, the Brooklyn Nets have decided to hire former New Jersey superstar point guard Jason Kidd to become their next head coach.

Looking for a "fresh face" the Nets turned to one of the most popular players in team history to lead the team after being ousted in the first round of the playoffs this year.

Kidd retired as a player just last week with the New York Knicks, and immediately reached out to the team to share his interest in becoming head coach.

A report from ESPN says that Brooklyn did go ahead with their scheduled interview with Indiana Pacers assistant coach Brian Shaw for their vacancy, which means that they could decide to go in that direction if they feel most comfortable.

Details are coming in, but the Philadelphia Inquirer is reporting the deal for Kidd would be for three years. Do you think it's a good fit?
