DJ Magic
Takin' It To The Streets First Saturday of the Month 2 a.m.- 4 a.m.

Growing up, DJ Magic, a.k.a. Da Gift, shared a genuine appreciation for music with his dad.  In 1998, he received his own set of turntables from his father, also a DJ.  Since then, Magic spent hours in his basement perfecting his skills blending, practicing, cutting and scratching.  In a short amount of time, the young DJ upgraded from his basement to premier nightclubs, private parties, and corporate events throughout New York, Los Angeles, Miami and abroad.  At his prime, Magic started off deejaying for artist like Amerie, Young Jeezy, Jaheim, Mario, Busta Rhymes, Jeremiah, and Maino. He graced the turntables at venues such as Strata, Mars 2112, Club Love, Mansion, Sobe Live, Colors, Element, Imperil, Rose Castle, Duvet, Aspen, Touch, and most recently, Madison Square Garden and Grand Central Station.

Magic continues to step up his game.  He combines his passion for music and fashion by deejaying at the ADIDAS Originals and Flagship store in New York City each month.  In 2007, he won the Southern Entertainment Award for Best Reggae/Reggaeton Mixtape.  Magic produced the remix to Miguel’s “All I Want Is You”, which was played at every major radio station worldwide.

DJ Magic is part of The Pitbulls, a respected crew of DJs created by HOT 97's own Funk Flex & Mister Cee.  In 2013, he became the official DJ for MUSCLE MILK.  In 2014, under New York City's most walked through building, Grand Central Station, DJ Magic and Under Armour sporting apparel came together to have all passengers dancing their way to their trains at the famous transit station for Super Bowl XLVIII weekend festivities.

DJ Magic took his promotion to the streets in a big way by putting out his own DJ Magic truck to promote himself.  Magic, who now playfully goes by the name "Prince of the Car Game", given to him by his mentor Funk Flex, has organized the biggest and most anticipated Custom Car and Bike Show in his hometown of Brooklyn, NY.  2014 will be the 4th Annual car show that features an unsigned artist showcase in MCU Baseball field parking lot, next door to the world famous Coney Island Astro Land.  Stay tuned for an Indoor Custom Car & Bike show, more parties in New York, Miami, Las Vegas, Japan, and Bermuda, more mix tapes, and definitely his show on HOT 97 every first Saturday of the month, 2am - 4am, and every holiday all mix weekend.
