DJ SPAZO

"Midnight Lean" Saturdays 12 a.m. - 2 a.m.

That Harlem Kid, DJ Spazo, was born into DJing. With his father being B-Fats of “The Wop” fame and his uncle being Donald D, he began to experiment with the wheels of steel at a very young age. Aside from his father and uncle, he learned from legends such as DJ Hollywood and Luv Bug Starski and emulated Harlem mixtape kings such as DJ SNS and Craig G.

Now, for over a decade he has been a fixture on the club scene, and a favorite for private celebrity events including several for VH1 and its “Love and Hip Hop” reality stars. Spazo has been a steady presence at the E.B.C. Rucker Park Basketball Tournament as its official DJ and has been known for helping to break many records during the course of his career, most recently for Ty Dolla Sign and for Omarion’s “Post To Be.”

A surprise text from Funkmaster Flex led to Spazo stepping up to Hot 97’s turntables in November of 2014. Since then the go-getter has been getting it whenever and wherever he can including spinning at Hot 97’s April Fool’s Comedy Show at Madison Square Garden, the Summer Jam Festival stage and representing Wednesdays at the Dyckman Basketball Tournament.

You can catch DJ Spazo Saturday nights (Sunday mornings) from 1am-2am.
