HOT 97 encourages everyone attending Full Frontal Hip Hop on Thursday, March 20th at the Hammerstein Ballroom to bring as many old CDs and records you can find lying around gathering dust, taking up space, and otherwise going unused. We've partnered with a great company called TERRACYCLE and they're going to trade a FREE iTunes downloads for every 4 vinyl records or 8 CDs turned in.
You get FREE downloads so you can keep your music collection current. Meanwhile, Terracycle will take those unwanted CDs and vinyl records and turn them into new products, like chip bowls and Christmas tree decorations.
Just show up at Hammerstein Ballroom on Thursday, March 20th with your old CDs and vinyl. You don't even need to be attending Full Frontal Hip Hop that night. You can just come and support this great recycling opportunity. And you could win a pretty big prize for your efforts.
Look at what else you might get just for rummaging through those CDs you haven't played in... forever:
The people who turn in the 1st, 2nd & 3rd LARGEST QUANTITY OF CDS AND/OR VINYL will each get FREE tickets to one of the following shows:
KANYE WEST with RIHANNA, LUPE FIASCO, and N.E.R.D. at Madison Square Garden (5/13)
CHRIS ROCK at the WaMu Theatre at Madison Square Garden (4/30, 5/1-4)

Our friends at TerraCycle founded their company based on a very simple idea: take waste, process it, and turn it into a useful product.
TerraCycle produces products that are made from and packaged in waste and was named the coolest company in America by INC magazine, the 1 of the 100 most innovative companies in Red Herring magazine and won the Home Depot environmental stewardship award twice.
