The new Tupac show has just gotten the approval from his mother, Afeni Shakur, who will help on the production side of the musical. Once the show hits broadway, it will be give the late emcee's music a chance to play in a different light.
The "Holler If You Need Me" musical will be directed by world renowned Kenny Leon, and will feature all music from Pac himself, although he is not a character in the actual show. Leon even stated in a recent interview that “Tupac was a prophet and I want everyone to see that.”
The musical is based off of a book written by Todd Kreidler and tells the story of two friends who were brought up in a bad neighborhood in the Midwest.
The show is supposedly set to debut on Broadway sometime during 2013-2014.
