Over the weekend in Washington State, residents weathered a tragic landslide last Saturday morning that plagued the small community with death and destruction in its passing.
At least 14 people are reported dead and seven people have been taken to the hospital, including a 6-month-old boy. Officials stated on Monday that 176 people were missing and unaccounted for.
“The situation is very grim,” Snohomish County Fire District 21 Chief Travis Hots said Monday. “We have not found anyone alive on this pile since Saturday.”
