Looks like this Apple X Beat By Dre merger was a big win for everyone! According to reports baller Lebron James even gained a CHUNK of cash equity through the sale of the headphones, due to his partnership with Beats By Dre back in 2008 when the company was first getting off the ground.

Bron, who obviously had great foresight created a pretty player deal for himself with Beats. The baller gained a small stake in the company as payment for promoting that high-end headphones. How much did he earn from the sale, only doing slight work you ask?

According to ESPN

"while James was leading the Heat to a victory over the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference finals, sources say the 29-year-old was finalizing what is believed to be the biggest equity cash payout for a professional athlete in history as part of Appleā€™s recent $3 billion purchase of Beats Electronics. Sources briefed on the situation say James realized a profit of more than $30 million in cash and stock in the Beats sale after he had struck a deal to get a small stake in the company at its inception in 2008 in exchange for promoting its high-end headphones."

Winning. Easy come up. Bet Bron didn't see that coming when he signed on years ago with Beat.
