Long Live The King: Michael Jackson Posthumous Album 'Xscape' Set To Drop May 2014 [Video]

Five years after Michael Jackson's passing, the myth, the man, the legend, will be immortalized through his music once again, as his posthumous album Xscape is set to be release May of 2014.

Xscape, the brainchild of Epic Records and the Michael Jackson Estate, features eight new tracks which the world will be hearing for the very first time. Epic Records' LA Reid partnered with top producers such as Timbaland, who serves as the album’s lead producer, along with additional production from Stargate, Jerome “Jroc” Harmon, John McClain, and Rodney Jerkins. Their task was to bring the soul of MJ's music to life, but actually "contemporize" songs from Jackson's archive as well.

“Modern music and artistry would look and sound completely different if not for the groundbreaking contributions Michael Jackson gifted to the world,” said Epic chairman L.A. Reid. “Michael left behind some musical performances that we take great pride in presenting through the vision of music producers that he either worked directly with or expressed strong desire to work with. We are extremely proud and honored to present this music to the world.” Pre-orders begin April 1 on iTunes, while the full album arrives on May 13.
