News: Shooter Kills 4 And Injures 14 People At Fort Hood Military Base In Texas

Tragedy strikes again at Fort Hood Military base in Texas... the same base where a similar incident happened 5 years ago. As of right now, reports are saying that there are 4 dead and 14 people injured. U.S. Rep. Michael McCaul of Texas confirmed the deaths to KVUE-TV.

Law enforcement confirmed to the Associated Press that the suspected gunman is dead, but no names have been released due to an ongoing investigation of what really happened.

President Obama made a statement earlier this evening saying, "We're heartbroken something like this might have happened again,''

The news initially broke on Twitter when the base's official account made a brief statement telling personnel to seek "shelter in place". Fort Hood is the same military base where 13 died and more than 30 were wounded back in 2009 after Army psychiatrist Nidal Hasan opened fire on fellow men of combat, making it the deadliest domestic military attack in US history. Hasan was sentenced to death last year.
