Revolution Launch Titles

From the website Revolution Report the currently have a listing of about 20 games that will be ready for the launch of the Revolution.

Revolution Report states
French Publisher Ubisoft recently announced that Red Steel would be a launch title; Tecmo has cited Skatto Golf Pangya Revolution (tentative title) as a launch game, but currently only for Japan; Midway has a Revolution project in the works set to arrive this year, potentially at launch; recent speculation has pinned two titles from Activision — new iterations of Call of Duty and Tony Hawk — as launch titles; THQ is preparing a Revolution version of Disney/Pixar’s Cars, set to arrive around launch; a Revolution version of Atlus’ Trauma Center is rumored to be a launch title; Nintendo President Satoru Iwata stated a new installment of Super Smash Bros. would be available at launch, although the status of the game is unknown. In addition, Metroid Prime 3 and Shigeru Miyamoto’s new IP are currently believed to be launch games, as well.

Looks like Nintendo is really ready this time around and doesn’t want a repeat of the failure that the GameCube was. While many gamers will argue that the GameCube wasn’t a failure, Nintendo totally lost its gaming crown to Sony and Microsoft. Nintendo has stated that it’s ok with being 3rd best. But they can’t live off the sales of the DS forever. It’s only a matter of time before Microsoft releases a portable and Sony revampes the PSP. So Nintendo will have to really keep on its toes in order to regain the ground that it lost. And with having to teach gamers new ways to play via the Revolution remote control they might have a big task on their hands.
