Since the
inception of the Hip Hop Has Heart Foundation in the Spring of 1994, the
Foundation has committed itself to fulfilling its mission - to be responsive to
the needs and concerns of the community and create a positive environment.
Hot 97 has the ability to call
upon its friends in the hip hop industry such as record companies, artists and
producers to unite and help us make a difference in the lives of our listening
audience.
By organizing various concerts
and events, as well as participating with organizations such as the
Chancellor's Literacy Program, the United Negro College Fund, Walk to Cure
Diabetes, Safe Horizon, September 11th Fund, and AIDS Walk New York, the Hip
Hop Has Heart Foundation is proud to say that we have successfully raised
almost $1,000,000 dollars.

King Pin award to identify “Future Movers, Shakers and History Makers”
in the community!
High School Seniors and College Freshmen are awarded a yearly
scholarship based on their Mission Statement, their Community Service
