Hip Hop Has Heart Foundation
The Hip Hop Has Heart Foundation is an Emmis Communications nonprofit organization whose mission is to strengthen the communities we serve by providing support, assistance and information to those in need. The Foundation works with various initiatives such as youth development, education enhancement, social action, health and wellness, domestic violence, financial literacy, and resources that support our communities’ development.
The Hip Hop Has Heart Foundation hosts several community events throughout the year, including:
- Kutz for Kids Babershop & Beauty Tour: During the back to school season, the Heart & Soul Foundation partners with local barbershops and salons in the New York tri-state area to provide free haircuts for children ages 13 and under. On-site, children can also win free school supplies, prizes and more!
- The New York Cares Coat Drive: One of New York City’s largest and most cherished philanthropic traditions, the New York Cares Coat Drive provides local residents a way to meaningfully support their community during the holiday season. All donated coats are given out to homeless men, women, children and infants, the working poor, and at-risk senior citizens from partnering nonprofit agencies.
