Beauty Spotlight: New Artist, Trice Hood Shares Her Beauty Secrets

We recently caught up with new artist, Trice Hood, to unlock some of her beauty secrets.  Read on to find out more about her beauty regimen,  what she does to stay fit and more!

So Trice, how would you define you personal style?
My style is sexy, classy and ladylike! I believe in being a lady first, no matter how much my craft, passions and loves are male-dominated.   I think it's important to embrace feminism and what makes a woman, a "woman"! No matter what I do in life, I never want to lose that.

Describe your daily beauty regimen.  What are the things you do everyday, without fail, in order to look & feel beautiful?

I do have a solid beauty regimen that I follow on the weekdays and weekends. Weekdays:  When I wake up in the morning the first thing I do is floss and brush.  I am big on hygiene and having a beautiful smile.  Great smelling breath is necessary for a woman, so the first thing I do is floss and brush!   I shower, put on my gym clothes on, and get my run in.  Then I take a  a class  - preferably kickboxing, abs and weights no matter what!

Weekends: As always I start off with flossing and brushing.  Then I do a facial, shower and apply my MAC and LAMIK cosmetic face! I start with Eastside LAMIK eyebrow filler and concealer to perfect my brows.  Then, I love using  Face & Body Sheer Foundation from MAC topped with Mineralize Skin Finish.   I cannot forget my favorites: "Lady Danger" and "Candy Yum Yum" lipsticks from MAC.  When I get dressed, I am always in rompers and heels, or dresses and stilettos: DIVA DRESSCODE!

If we were to look in your purse right now, what beauty items would we find?

That's easy! You will find many lipsticks and two makeup bags full of brushes, foundations & blushes.  I never leave home without my cosmetics!!

Can you share some tips on how you stay in shape?

Monday through Friday, you will find me on the track running miles then the stairs.  After that, I head to the gym to do a kickboxing class and weights.  I also train with a basketball trainer.  My workout regimen takes a lot of discipline. Staying fit is a lifestyle.  Even though working out is great,  eating right is key. I try  to stay away from fried and fattening foods. Eating more whole foods, fruits and vegetables helps with staying in shape and looking great!

The music industry is a crazy business.  What lessons have you learned and what advice can you give to other females pursuing a career in music.

Never let anyone sell you an overnight dream: Go for yours and  work for yours!  Put in the work, believe in yourself and strive to be the best!   No matter how many people you run into in this industry that try to be negative, take constructive criticism and run with it.  Utilize it and capitalize!

There will be a lot of people who won't believe in you.  Believein you first; make them all believers!  Stay true to you! Stand for what you believe in and do not fall for just any thing!  Always have a Plan A, Plan B and Plan C for sure... and then some!

Trice Hood's newest single, "Miss Me", drops next week!  Stay tuned for details.
