DJ Envy After churning out four volumes of mixtape mayhem from artists such as Cam'Ron, Beanie Sigel, Jay-Z, and the Lox, DJ envy doesn't plan on stopping. Growing up in Queens, this two-time Just-O Mix Tape award recipients has 10 plus years of ripping up turntables but there's more. Envy currently serves as President and CEO of BLOK Entertainment, his own management and production company that has already produced scorching tracks for artists such as DMX, Murderers, Red Cafe, Funk Flex, Foxy Brown, Juvenile, Petey Pablo, Fabolous, and more.
Michael Shawn Since joining “Miss Jones In the Morning,” Michael Shawn has added much needed stability to the in-studio comedy. With over 10 years in the industry—including a marquee spot in this year's April Fools Comedy Show—and seven years in radio, Michael has become a popular voice on HOT 97. Never seeing a joke he didn't like, Michael's quick wit keeps guests and listeners on their toes. He has also helmed the popular BET Top 25 Countdown . Known for his hilarious promo spots and jingles, no news item is safe from Michael's comedy. Well known for his stand-up routine in venues like Caroline's, The Laugh Factory and Improv, you can hear Michael Shawn's shtick on “Miss Jones In The Morning” every weekday morning from 6-10 AM.
Shani Kulture Shani Kulture is a true souljah prepared to take command of any audience made up of any demographic. When it comes to entertaining, intriguing, captivating and thought provoking personalities, Shani Kulture is the embodiment of this and more. As a host of music television shows, concerts and underground movements and recently documented as a 'Hip-Hop Immortal' (on the latest DVD "We got ya Kids"), Shani Kulture is the leader to an uprising of a new generation in talent.
Kulture also manages to produce other successful projects including "On The Run with Shani Kulture" on Hip-Hop Official via GoTv Networks accessible on your cell phones, as well as a variety of (NYC) club promotions, University fashion shows, creating and hosting the Hot 97's Summer Jam "Lyrical Championships" in Giants Stadium since 2004.
HOT 97.1 (WQHT-NYC) is Kulture's second home where you can listen for him as Producer/Engineer/Personality on Sunday Nights with Massive B's "On Da Reggae Tip w/ Bobby Konders & Jabba", Angie Martinez for Fridays' "Music Meeting Results", The Extended Rush Hour" with Heavy Hitters, DJ Enuff & DJ Camilo, "Friday Night Live" with Mr. Cee & J. Medina and every weekday with "Miss Jones in the Morning" sometimes referred to as "SideShow" of the morning show.
