Ebro In The Morning had Shani Kulture and Miss Info come through the show to chop it up and talk the Total Slaughter battle that went down this weekend.

Last weekend, Ebro hosted the Total Slaughter battle rap competition featuring Joe Budden and Hollow Da Don. They touched on if battle rap is good for hip-hop as an overall art form even if only one of the elements is represented. Ebro thought that because hip-hop is already a niche culture, there is no need to divide it further. However, Miss Info argued that the two aren’t mutually exclusive, and that one element can be isolated while still helping the culture progress as a whole. Ebro agreed that the environment of Total Slaughter was at least respectful, saying, “There’s a lot of respect among the fans and the participants, they respect the culture a lot.” Check out the full interview below:
