Common went to the lab over the weekend and cooked up something poisonous to serve up to Drake.  After Ross' "Rich Forever" mix tape dropped last week, things went awry.  

For starters, "Stay Schemin" was the standout track on the tape with Ross, Drake and French Montana singing the hook sounding something like a wounded whale.  No shade, French...it just sounded weird man.  Drizzy's verse can be found in the track below but, it was faintly directed at Common, and yes, another female, Kobe's soon to be ex-wife, Vanessa Bryant.  I gotta agree with Common.  Drake stuck his nose where it doesn't belong in his mention of Vanessa's divorce settlement: "B*tch you wasn't wit me shootin in the gym!"...he then went on to throw subliminals at Common.  

Now, both Drake and Common are lyrically insane.  But, we suppose Common's goal in saying "Make no mistake, I'm talkin' to ...

After being pushed back from its December 20 premiere date, rapper Tyga's second solo album Carless World: Rise of the Last King debuts in the new year on January 24th. The album is said to be a merge of the artists' dance background - as seen in his first album No Introduction, and that of his natural rapper etiquette known by all in the We Are Young Money album. A mix tape in anticipation of Careless World's release to the public was created and can be found at #BitchImTheShit. Debuting this month is rapper Yo Gotti's much awaited album Live From the Kitchen. On January 10^th his collaborations with Rick Ross, Wiz Khalifa, Gucci Mane and many others will be at the finger tips of the world and not just in the kitchen. When asked by AllHipHop.com about the naming of his first studio album, Yo Gotti was quoted in saying "Live from the Kitchen is a term towards everywhere it started. On a street level, you put it together in the kitchen, but not only that, you can create your plan in the kitchen [. . .] So the overall meaning of it is that’s where the plan started, where you cook the plan up at." And then serve to the very hungry public.

Ryan Leslie first made his rapping debut on a track with Kanye West a few years ago.  Now he is taking another shot at it on his new single "Good Girl".  We can't blame him.  With Trey Songz and Chris Brown dropping mixtapes, it was only a matter of time before the older  R & B cats tried to expand their talents.  What do you think?
