Damn, Samsung Just Took The Biggest L!
Samsung put a huge push behind their Galaxy Note 7 smartphone, but ran into an issue when a lot of the phones began exploding at random over the summer. They began offering free replacement phones, while more obstacles popped up, like airlines requesting the phones be turned off completely on their planes. Now, they've had to recall the phones all together!
Samsung is terminating production of the Note 7, effective immediately, after even the "fixed" batch of phones began catching fire as well. The company and its retailers have stopped selling the phone globally.
Samsung has advised anyone who still has a Galaxy Note 7 to power it off. Get instructions on how to do so here, if applicable.
