Nick Cannon Receives Richard Pryor Jr's Blessing To Play His Father In Biopic; See What Changed His Mind

So a few weeks back, Nick Cannon stopped by "Ebro In The Morning" to chop it up with the crew and talked about upcoming projects on his radar. One thing that stood out immediately was Nick's appearance, as it appeared he was looking to channel legendary funny man Richard Pryor, after rumors had been floating around that he would play him in upcoming biopic directed by Lee Daniels.

Well as some of you may know, its been quite the controversy surrounding who would ultimately play the funny man. At one point, comedian Mike Epps as well as Marlon Wayans were being looked at for the role. Up until now, Pryor's family has had a strong opinion, and had
been very vocal about wanting Marlon Wayans to play the role of Pryor.

Looks like the family had a change of heart. See what Richard Pryor Jr had to say on speaking to Nick Cannon:

"He did the small thing of using his left hand instead of his right hand, he picked up smoking to try and emulate my dad, he’s let his hair grow out. He’s looking into who my dad really was, looking into his childhood, who he was raised by and around, and he is interested in talking to me about who my dad was."

What do you think? We'll just have to wait and see who gets casts for the role.

AHH
