Shabba Ranks, Shaggy, Beenie Man, Ashanti, Neyo, Maxi Priest & More Touched Down At On Da Reggae Tip 2014 [VIDEO]

Every year, I seem to write the same thing, "On Da Reggae Tip was a movie, epic, one to remember" but in all honesty, it's true lol.

First, we took the show outdoors for the very first time and it was the best decision HOT 97 could've made. It was, in many ways, a sign that it was supposed to be outdoors since JBL opened their brand new outdoor stage at Pier 97. To take a reggae show outside so fans and artists themselves could feel like they were escaping the busy noise of NYC and instead feel like they were experiencing the show somewhere in the Carribean was absolutely perfect.

Having the sun set on the Hudson River as your backdrop while the crowd waved their flags proudly in the air was really a sight to see.

Fact: On Da Reggae Tip 2014 should always be held outdoors.

The line up gave you a taste of everything and the moments the artists created on stage were unforgettable. From the special surprise guests like Ashanti, Neyo, Maxi Priest, and Gyptian (there's plenty more but I'll let you watch the video to see the rest) to the twerking on stage, which involved the Ebro In The Morning crew, to the Emperor of Dancehall Shabba Ranks touching the #HOT97ODRT stage for the first time, man, the show was epic.
