The Red Kettle Today

• Today, kettles and bell ringers can be seen at stores and malls throughout the country and are an endearing symbol of The Salvation Army. Kettle bell-ringers are Salvation Army Officers, soldiers, employees, and volunteers.
  
  
• We also operate the Online Red Kettle, where individuals, teams, organizations, and companies can raise funds online at www.onlineredkettle.org .
  
  
• The money raised through the kettles is used to help the less fortunate during the Christmas season and throughout the year.
  
  
• The Greater New York Division currently oversees nearly 500 kettle sites throughout the Greater New York area.
