MLB officials told all union leaders in a meeting in Manhattan yesterday that they plan to suspend Alex Rodriguez and eight other players who are said to have used performance-enhancing drugs.

Most of the players will be suspended for 50 games. Alex Rodriguez may have a worse penalty based off the fact he lied to MLB investigators.

A-Rod is said to face a lifetime ban from major league baseball.

Alex Rodriguez’s suspension began in August of 2012, when it was reported that Cabrera and his associates attempted to avoid a 50-game ban for using a performance enhancing drug that caused a positive drug test.

Not looking too good for A-Rod.
