One of the NBA's most iconic figures, former Philadelphia 76ers point guard Allen Iverson is set to officially retire this month, October 30th, according to insiders.

Insiders claim that the announcement will come at the Philadelphia 76ers' home opener. Iverson, a former MVP and scoring champion will retire with a career average of 26.7 points per game (making him 6th of all time), 6.2 assists, and 2.2 steals. He was also rookie of the year in 1997 after coming into the league as the number one draft pick in the 1996 draft.

David Aldridge also claims that Iverson will be accepting a position within the 76ers organization.

He's some ankle-breaking highlights:

AI brought a lot to the game of basketball, wish him the best and if this is true that he's found a gig with the 76ers, he can finally say goodbye to his broke days...if he uses his money wisely lol.
