Allen Iverson Will Officially Retire From The NBA At 76ers Home Opener Game [VIDEO]
One of the NBA's most iconic figures, former Philadelphia 76ers point guard Allen Iverson is set to officially retire this month, October 30th, according to insiders.
Insiders claim that the announcement will come at the Philadelphia 76ers' home opener. Iverson, a former MVP and scoring champion will retire with a career average of 26.7 points per game (making him 6th of all time), 6.2 assists, and 2.2 steals. He was also rookie of the year in 1997 after coming into the league as the number one draft pick in the 1996 draft.
David Aldridge also claims that Iverson will be accepting a position within the 76ers organization.
