Oklahoma State’s Marcus Smart SUSPENDED 3 Games For UGLY Fight With Fan [VIDEO]

The Oklahoma State vs. Texas Tech game turned ugly when Oklahoma’s guard Marcus Smart did a not so smart thing.

Smart dove head first into the stands when he tried to block a shot and is then seen turning around and shoving a Texas Tech fan:

The Big 12 has suspended Marcus for three games following the incident and the fan, identified as Jeff Orr, released a statement about the incident:

"I would like to take this opportunity to offer my sincere apologies to Marcus Smart, Oklahoma State, Tubby Smith and the Texas Tech Men's Basketball program. My actions last night were inappropriate and do not reflect myself or Texas Tech - a university I love dearly. I regret calling Mr. Smart a "piece of crap" but I want to make it known that I did not use a racial slur of any kind. Additionally, I would like to offer my apologies to Texas Tech fans that have been embarrassed by the attention this incident has created."

Should Marcus have reacted that way? Should fans be allowed to say what they want to players when they’re at a game?
