This year Summer Jam:2010 will take place at the New Meadowlands Theater.

Directions to New Meadowlands

The New Meadowlands Stadium is easily accessible and bordered by major roadways including the New Jersey Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway. Additionally, almost $400 million is currently being put into transit improvements surrounding the stadium by the State of New Jersey and local authorities. All of the improvements are currently scheduled to be complete by the 2010 football season.





By Car

From the George Washington Bridge

Follow Interstate 95 South signs to the New Jersey Turnpike south western spur (Sports Complex to exit 16W), which provides direct access to the Sports Complex parking areas.

Traveling North on the New Jersey Turnpike

Follow the Western Spur (Sports Complex to Exit 16W), which provides direct access to Sports Complex parking areas. If congested, use eastern spur (Lincoln Tunnel) to exit 16E to Route 3 West which provides direct access to the Sports Complex parking areas.

Traveling South on the Garden State Parkway

Garden State Parkway South to exit 163 (Route 17). Follow Route 17 to Paterson Plank Road. Take Paterson Plank Road east to the Sports Complex.

Traveling North on the Garden State Parkway

Garden State Parkway North to exit 153A (Route 3). Follow Route 3 East to the Sports Complex.

From Holland Tunnel or Brooklyn-Staten Island Bridge Crossings

Take New Jersey Turnpike extension to the Turnpike North. Follow Route 3 East to the Sports Complex.

Public Transportation

Rail service to the New Meadowlands Stadium is available on Select events and all NFL Games. Trains begin running 3 hours before event time and continue to run 2 hours after the event's end.

How to Ride the Train to New Meadowlands Stadium:

  1. Purchase Tickets to the Meadowlands. At your boarding location, buy tickets using "Meadowlands Sports Complex" as your destination. Your tickets will be valid for rail transportation to Secaucus Junction. Please purchase roundtrip tickets in advance.

  2. Ride to Secaucus Junction. Traveling to Secaucus Junction is easy. The station is served by trains on the Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast, Midtown Direct (Morris & Essex and Montclair Boonton), Main, Bergen County, Pascack Valley and Port Jervis lines. Raritan Valley Line and Newark Light Rail customers can transfer at Newark Penn Station to continue their trip. Customers on Hudson-Bergen Light Rail should transfer at Hoboken Terminal.

  3. Transfer to the Meadowlands. At Secaucus Junction, step off the train and go upstairs into the station. Then follow the signs to the rail loading area (depending on your event). For most Stadium events, Meadowlands trains board on Tracks G and H.

351 Meadowlands Express Bus Service Information

Comfortable, reliable and convenient round trip, door to door (no transfers) transportation from the Port Authority bus terminal to the New Meadowlands Stadium.

Take a Coach USA 351 MEADOWLANDS EXPRESS bus for an inexpensive, nonstop trip to all New Meadowlands Stadium events. The 351 Meadowlands Express board at the Port Authority Bus Terminal which is near many NYC subway and bus connections, frequent 351 Meadowlands Express buses depart from the Port Authority in Manhattan and take you to the Meadowlands in plenty of time for you to get to your seat. After each performance or sports event, convenient, nonstop 351 Meadowlands Express buses will take you quickly and safely back to the Port Authority for your trip home.

Parking

There are approximately 23,800 parking spaces distributed among 14 Lettered Lots at the New Meadowlands Stadium. In addition, there are 5,000 parking spaces adjacent to the East Side of the Stadium.

As you approach the New Meadowlands Stadium, there will be highway, street level and variable electronic message signs directing you to our parking lot entrances.

Parking Fees are subject to change.

Event Parking Costs:

  • Cars: $25 Per
  • Bus / RV: $75 Per Bus

Parking lots typically open 3 to 5 hours prior to an event. Please check event specific information located on NMS Website.

Charter bus parking is located in lot L.

Parking for guests with disabilities is available in all parking lots.

Illegal parking outside the stadium property on area roadways, medians, grass malls and vehicle breakdown lanes should not be attempted. Violators will be ticketed by local police and/or towed at owner's expense.

Overnight parking (including RVs) is not permitted.

Port-o-sans are located throughout the parking lots. Port-o-sans for guests with disabilities are available.

Drop-Off and Pick-Up

Taxicabs and limousines should drop off and pick up guests at Lot H unless otherwise directed by NMS Management.

Public drop-offs and pick-ups will vary per event. Parking and Traffic Management staff will direct guests to drop off and pick up locations on event by event basis.

Typical drop off and pick up locations are listed below but are subject to change

Any vehicle wishing to remain on the Complex after making a drop-off may do so, but must pay the parking fee.

Carry-In Policy

Guests are welcome to carry-in:

  • Bags or purses that are 12" x 12" x 12" or less in size. All bags will be subject to search
  • Food contained in a clear plastic bag
  • Factory-sealed, plastic bottles of water that are 20 oz. or less in size (caps will be removed by Safety Services staff)
  • Jackets or blankets after being patted down or searched

Guests may not carry-in the following items:

  • Bottles, cans, hard-sided coolers, thermoses or ice chests
  • Alcohol of any kind
  • Weapons or anything that can be used as a projectile or is deemed dangerous
  • Banners, signs or flags of any size
  • Frisbees, beach balls, laser pointers, strollers or umbrellas
  • Any animal with the exception of a service animal
  • Any other item deemed inappropriate at the discretion of management

Parking Lot Guidelines

Parking lot guidelines have been established in order to create a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests. All vehicles and bags that enter the Meadowlands Sports Complex property and the New Meadowlands Stadium may be subject to a visual search.

  • 1 VEHICLE = 1 SPACE: All tailgating items must be set up in front of or behind one vehicle. Roadways and additional spaces are to remain clear for fellow guests and emergency vehicles.
  • ALCOHOL GUIDELINES: All New Jersey alcohol consumption and distribution laws will be strictly enforced by New Jersey State Police and New Meadowlands Stadium Staff.
  • CHARTER BUSES: Charter bus parking is located in Lot L.
  • COOKING / USE OF GRILLS: We ask that all guests safely set-up, operate and extinguish all cooking and grilling materials. Please extinguish and dispose of all cooking and grilling materials. Hot coals are to be disposed of in hot coal containers which are located at the perimeter of parking lots. The use of grills is NOT PERMITED on any level of the IZOD Center parking deck.
  • RVs / LARGE VEHICLES: Will not be permitted to park in the IZOD Center parking decks.
  • TICKET RESALE: Ticket reselling is not authorized on Meadowlands Sports Complex property. Be aware that tickets purchased from sources other than New Meadowlands Stadium, Giants, Jets or an authorized ticket outlet may be counterfeit and may not be accepted. This includes the reselling of parking permits on the roadways leading into the Meadowlands Sports Complex.
  • VENDING / SOLICITATION: Unauthorized soliciting or the collection of contributions, vending, distribution of flyers, or other materials is not permitted.
  • WASTE: Please dispose of all waste materials in the proper trash, recycling, and hot coal containers.

Violating parking lot guidelines may result in ejection from the Meadowlands Sports Complex property, arrest and the revocation of tickets and parking passes.

Stadium Policy

• To ensure the highest level of safety and security, all guest will be subject to a courteous pat-down screening upon entry by Safety Services staff of the same gender. All bags and vehicles will be subject to inspection upon entry. Persons that refuse to be patted down and/or refuse to have their bags or vehicle inspected will not be admitted. By presenting your ticket to Safety Services staff, you consent to such inspections and waive any and all related claims that you might have against the New Meadowlands Stadium. Alcohol, weapons, or any items the Safety Services staff deems dangerous will be confiscated. Thank you for your cooperation.

• Anyone with field seats must enter through the Great West Hall.

• No tickets will be sold at New Meadowlands Stadium on the day of the concert.

• All guests arriving at New Meadowlands Stadium must have a ticket in their possession. Vehicles will be checked at gate entrances and cars transporting guests without tickets will be turned away

and not allowed on-site.

• Stadium policy prohibits pass out and return. Please dress appropriately for weather conditions.
