As the temperature drops, it's more important than ever to make sure your lips stay crack-free and moisturized.
Many lip balms come packed with ingredients that aren't necessarily good for us, so try making your own with this fun do-it-yourself recipe made with all natural ingredients!
- 2 oz. 1 tablespoon of Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
- 1.5 teaspoon of vitamin E Essential Oil 2 oz. of Cosmetic Grade Beeswax
- For an extra kick: add 25 drops of you favorite essential oil
(vanilla, peppermint, etc.)!
You'll also need:
- Pan & metal mason jar lid ring
- Wooden Spoon
- Plastic lip balm containers
Put your coconut oil, vitamin E and beeswax in a measuring cup.
Grab your pan and fill it halfway with water and bring it to a boil.
When the water reaches a boil, be sure to place the glass measuring cup in the water to melt the oils together. You'll know the oils have been mixed perfectly if you a nice golden liquid afterwards.
While your balm is still on the heat, mix in your favorite essential oil scent! Add as many drops as you want, but remember: the scents get stronger after the balm solidifies!
Once the balm mixture is scented to your liking, pour them in the plastic containers and let them cool. After they cool off, apply freely!
