The long awaited rumor has now been confirmed -- Linsanity will follow in the Rap Gods footsteps and sign with Adidas.

No one is quite sure why his 3 year contract with Nike dissolved but, who cares? Jeremy Lin joins the heavyweight roster that is Derrick Rose, Dwight Howard, Iman Shumpert and more. On his new major deal, the Houston Rockets point guard says,

“I’m really excited to join the Adidas family. They’ve changed the game with new technology and style and I can’t wait to be a part of it.”

This deal brings up a lot of questions like why Adidas? Why Jeremy Lin? And is Derrick Rose's recent injury a factor? Only time can tell us the reason but with Nike and Adidas racing to be the top sportswear company in China, it doesn’t hurt to have an endorser that is relatable.

Maybe with hype over his performance in Taiwan at an exhibition game and a new deal with Adidas this will stir up the global craze that is LinSanity once again.

It's too early to say Jeremy Lin will get his own signature sneaker, he definitely has a long way before he has earned that right, but kudos either way.
